How we chose
We compared Skullcandy’s current over-ear and true wireless models by sound, comfort, battery life, noise control, connection features and typical Amazon pricing. Because Skullcandy’s lineup is particularly bass-forward, we also considered how much control each model gives you over that low-end emphasis. Products scored higher when their features served a clear purpose rather than simply adding complexity.
Battery figures are manufacturer ratings and usually assume moderate volume. Enabling active noise cancellation, using maximum Crusher bass or making frequent calls can reduce real-world runtime. Prices also move regularly, particularly around Amazon sales.
Best for the full Skullcandy experience
The Crusher ANC 2 is the model to buy if you specifically want what makes Skullcandy different. Its sensory bass system adds physical low-frequency impact that goes beyond the output of conventional headphone drivers. A wheel lets you reduce the effect for podcasts or turn it up for electronic music and action movies. ANC, app-based personalization and multipoint pairing make it a more complete everyday headphone than the older Crusher Evo.
It is not the most neutral or compact option, though. Listeners who want natural acoustic instruments or class-leading noise cancellation should temper their expectations.
Better over-ear choices for less
The Hesh ANC is easier to recommend to commuters who value straightforward controls and a lighter design. It removes the sensory-bass hardware but retains 40mm drivers and active noise cancellation. Its 22-hour rating trails newer premium headphones, yet it remains sufficient for several workdays or a long flight.
Choose the Crusher Evo when powerful adjustable bass matters more than ANC. Its longer 40-hour battery and rapid-charge feature suit home listening, gaming and travel in relatively quiet spaces. Bluetooth latency can be noticeable in competitive games, so a wired connection is preferable when timing matters.
Earbuds for exercise and small pockets
The Push ANC Active is the strongest option here for running and gym sessions. Flexible ear hooks provide more security than standard in-ear buds, while an IP67 rating offers meaningful protection from sweat, dust and brief water exposure. The case is larger than pocket-first alternatives, but the long total battery rating makes it useful for frequent training.
At the opposite end of the range, the Dime 3 prioritizes size and price. These tiny earbuds offer multipoint pairing and a useful stay-aware mode without the cost of ANC. They work well as backup buds or for casual commuting, although their basic microphones and passive isolation are less convincing in noisy environments.
Which should you buy?
Start with the Crusher ANC 2 if you want maximal bass impact plus modern conveniences. Pick Hesh ANC for affordable over-ear noise cancellation, Crusher Evo for long-lasting bass without ANC, Push ANC Active for secure workouts, or Dime 3 when compact dimensions and a low price outweigh premium sound and call performance.
